Here are some recommendations to eat, drink and dance. This is just a small portion of what Amsterdam has to offer, but our staff is always available to help make the choice a little easier.

Restaurants
  • Brasserie Keyzer
    Website: www.brasseriekeyzer.nl
Close by the hotel, situated next to the famous Concertgebouw. This elegant restaurant, under guidance of Ron Blauw group (one of the best sous-chefs in the Netherland!), specialises in sea food. The menu goes with seasons, therefore guarantees the best fresh ingredients!
  • MOMO
    www.momo-amsterdam.com
MOMO is everything. Restaurant, bar and lounge in one. Probably the most trendy establishment in Amsterdam, and consequently crowded!
  • Haesje Claes
    Website: www.haesjeclaes.nl
For a true Dutch experience you must go to Haesje Claes! Some say it is the best tradition Dutch restaurant in the Netherlands. Specialises in 'stampots', but serves meat, fish and vegetarian food as well. It is situated in downtown Amsterdam, surrounded by many bars and pubs to have a drink before or after (Café Koningshut (see below) is right next door and makes the Dutch experience complete)!
  • Dubbel
    Website: www.restaurantdubbel.nl
Next to Leidseplein you find this unexpected cosy restaurant. In the midst of all the tourist traps this "eetcafé" comes highly recommended if you want good food and an even better atmosphere! Lovely to combine with a night of theatre or cinema (all located on Leidseplein).
  • Kobe
    Website: www.kobehouse.nl
For the best sushi in town, Kobe is the place to be. They serve menu's, but you can also assemble your meal a la carte. Everyone is seated at the teppan to watch their personal chefs at work! Situated close to the Central Station.
Bars and clubs
  • Café Cox
    Website: www.stadsschouwburgamsterdam.nl
Next to the City Theatre on Leidseplein is Café Cox. A true monument in Amsterdam, this bar is a regular for many theatregoers. On Fridayevening they have a DJ spinning some jazzy dance tunes. This is certainly something special! Close by are Kamer 401, Weber and Lux. All trendy cafés with a mainly yuppie crowd.
  • Café Koningshut
An authentic Amsterdam brown café, unlike any other. Small, cosy and highly recommended.

  • Xtracold Ice Bar
    Website: www.xtracold.com
Some like it hot, some not. This cocktailbar goes both ways. Most of the interior is made of ice, but it also houses a 'Some like it hot' lounge area. Great place to have a new cocktail-experience. Thermal gloves are distributed before entering, so you do not have to worry about getting cold!
  • Caffe Escape
    Website: www.escape.nl
This trendy establishment is always worth a visit. Located at Rembrandtplein, this bar is an excellend place to start (or finish, whichever you prefer) the night. If you feel like it, upstairs is a dance venue, where you can continue to dance the night away! Otherwise, the whole square is full of pubs and clubs of all sorts.
  • De Kroon
Also on Rembrandtplein, de Kroon is classy Grand Café. Suitable for breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks. It never disappoints.
  • Paradiso
    Website: www.paradiso.nl
This is Amsterdam's best and most famous pop temple. All famous and less famous artists perform in this old church, one time or another. Also, from Wednesday to Saturday very popular dance nights.
  • Jimmy Woo
    www.jimmywoo.com
If it's good enough for the Dutch VIPs, it's good enough for you!
  • Supperclub
    www.supperclub.nl
Nowadays the Supperclub has locations all over the world, but it all started in Amsterdam! This hyper trendy spot, offers dinner, art, music and dance nights on Monday. Everything in the latest fashion.
  • Westergasterrein
    www.westergasfabriek.nl
In one of Amsterdam's finest parks, lies an old factorycomplex which has transformed itself into a hotspot for new creative and cultural business. The energy of the restaurants, bars, cinema and clubs (Flexbar: www.flexbar.nl and Westerunie www.westerunie.nl) huddled together is unique in Amsterdam.
